What Are Various Markets In Cabo San Lucas?

Cabo San Lucas has a large range of markets that exist to offer services in their respective area. Even if all the markets are not open year-round, they still provide services when needed by the community. After your search for Cabos san Lucas resort online and stay at Los Cabos all-inclusive resorts.

MARKETS: The market is located on Miguel Hidalgo Street between Constitucion and Guerrero, two blocks from the main pier and port of Cabo San Lucas. The Market offers fresh fruit, vegetables (they say “fresh” but it doesn’t look like it), and other items found at most Mexican Markets. In front you can find some taco stands selling tacos al carbon very cheap -palapas- umbrellas for shade, etc… This place opens up daily from 8 am to 2 pm.

FISH MARKET: There is a small indoor fish market located on Paseo Diamante #13 between Guerrero & Amapas, just two blocks from the port. Located in a building that used to be an elementary school, this place offers fresh seafood and fish directly from their boats located offshore. They also offer lobster for $20 pesos per pound – note it’s not actual lobster but large blue claws with body meat inside. The rest of the lobsters you see walking around here are about 2 inches long or less & are called “langosta de playa” (beach lobster). This happens to be the best deal in all of Cabos San Lucas right now, as there has been land shortage for properties which has fueled a huge demand for real estate. So many people are selling their properties in order to buy land elsewhere to build bigger houses without problems or not having to worry about the cost of electricity bills. This is the reason that prices have dropped so low. One U.S. dollar equals $11 pesos which makes it very cheap for us Americans, Canadians, and any other country’s citizens that come here on vacation…

The Fish Market opens at 7 am Monday through Saturday & 8 am on Sunday, and closes at around 1 pm daily except Friday when it stays open till 2 pm. There is also another fish market farther away from downtown Cabo San Lucas; near Las Gaviotas (gulls) located off Hwy 1 (Paseo del Mar) on the way to Los Barriles and also near the “Obrajes” shopping area. This is located at Calle Marina #148 & Camino La Cruz, it’s a very small indoor fish market with seafood, shrimp, and other items you would find in any good butcher shop or fish store.

BAZAAR: Located between Madero & Morelos streets two blocks from the main pier or port in Cabo San Lucas. The Bazaar sells sports clothing -kids clothes (both new and used), handbags, purses, sunglasses, accessories, CDs/DVDs- music and movies $5 for a pair of mini shorts or thongs plus they have a lot of other sporting goods like golf clubs, tennis rackets, volleyball net and more. This place is always open and also has a few small food stands that will make you a taco or you can just buy them by the kilo for $15 pesos total.

CREEKSIDE MARKET: Located on Paseo del Mar between Constitución & Madero streets about one to two blocks from the pier. Open daily from 8 is till 9 pm or 10 pm. It’s an indoor market with local vendors selling everything -t-shirts, trinkets, hats, key chains, etc… They also sell real-name brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren & Diesel at cheaper prices than what you will find in Cabo San Lucas. They also sell leather jackets, shoes, and boots but be aware -the quality of these products is low- you get what you pay for…

SHOPPING MALL: There are a couple of shopping malls in Cabo San Lucas. The first one is called “La Costena” located on Playa Medano between Madero & Morelos streets in the downtown area next to the bazaar. It’s open daily from 10 am till 8 pm. The second one is called “The Forum” which has all your everyday needs like grocery stores, drugstores, pharmacies, banks, etc… This mall is located just off Hwy 1 (Paseo del Mar) near Las Gaviotas (gulls)… In the Forum Shopping mall, they have an indoor water park for kids called “Max Aquarium”. For adults, there is also the movie theater and cineplexes (5 movies at once, do not have to buy a ticket for each show) which are located next door to each other. There are many restrooms in both malls & parking is free…

If you are looking for a great place to vacation where it is cheap and yet has plenty of things to do then Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is the right destination for you.
